Studio East tells Arts Commission city grant helped reach thousands of students

Toomey outlined Studio East’s summer-camp schedule (June 22–28 and a teen musical July 24–Aug. 2) and described school-stage partnerships that provide scenery, costumes and musical direction to help schools mount performances. Commissioners praised the reach and mentorship elements of the program and asked about longer-term plans; Toomey said the organization aims to deepen relationships with schools and expand hub-and-spoke programming.
