The Columbia County Planning Commission convened on Aug. 6, 2026, approved minutes from its July 16 meeting and adopted the night’s agenda. Chair opened the meeting by noting a full quorum and asking for a motion; the commission approved both procedural items by voice/hand raise.

Will, a county planner, recommended approval of a massage operator’s license for Marty Method LLC at 4408 Columbia Road, Suite 106, which the commission approved. Danielle presented the final plat for Hamilton Grove Phase 1 (southern portion of the property on Hamilton Road), describing 10 residential lots with a minimum 2.58-acre lot size and setbacks consistent with RA zoning; the commission voted to recommend approval and will forward the plat to the Board of Commissioners for final action on Aug. 18, 2026.
