Council adopted Resolutions 69-2026 through 71-2026 in succession after motions by Councilman Notaro and second by Councilman Dewees. Resolution 69-2026 authorized the promotion of Michael Buccafurni to the position of captain, 70-2026 authorized the promotion of Gaetano DiMarco to lieutenant, and 71-2026 authorized the promotion of Michael Bach to sergeant. Roll-call votes were recorded as "yes" from Councilwoman Carfagno; Mr. Dewees; Mrs. Kern; Mr. Notaro; Mr. Polistina; Mr. Smith; and Mrs. Bucci.
The promotions were taken at the start of the meeting after the clerk called the session to order. No public comment on the promotions was recorded in the minutes. The meeting minutes show Chief Pollak departed the meeting at 7:39 p.m., as planned.
