Principals report enrollments, activities and board appreciation gifts to Bland ISD trustees

At the Jan. 15, 2026 Bland ISD board meeting, principals from the district’s three campuses reported enrollment and recent activities. Rachel Bouknight reported an elementary enrollment of 391 students and noted programs including Gifted & Talented, robotics and dyslexia screening; middle-school Principal Jason Hammack reported 162 students and highlighted robotics, BETA fundraisers and UIL academics; high-school Principal Brad Clanton reported 216 students and reviewed athletics, agriculture and college- and military-recruiting visits.
Each campus presented the board with a token of appreciation: the elementary students gave a gift, the middle-school students presented a thank-you card and coin for Mrs. Anderson, and the high-school students presented a gift for Board Appreciation. The reports were recorded for the board’s information; no formal board action on these items was recorded in the minutes.
