The De Pere Common Council approved a $149,490.70 bid from All American Arena to replace ice arena flooring and authorized use of up to $50,000 from unassigned reserves. Parks staff Marty credited the De Pere Youth Hockey Organization for raising roughly $50,000 in support of the project, noting the partnership helped move the project forward.
Marty said the fundraising "coordinated a fundraising effort, at the ice arena" and acknowledged prior small general-fund contributions for ADA work at the facility. He told the council the ice arena fund will be reduced to zero after the appropriation but will be replenished when the rink reopens in October via the user-group surcharge. The council approved the appropriation and contract by roll call vote.
