Brenham ISD accepts more than $4,000 in art-supply donation

Brooke Trahan, chief communications and community engagement officer, presented an in-kind donation from Paint Warehouse via Robbie Collins that the district has accepted for the fine-arts department. Trahan said the donation currently exceeds $4,000 in plaster, ready mix and similar materials that art and theater teachers requested; she thanked the donor on the districts behalf.
A trustee made a motion to approve formal acceptance of the gift and the board voted in favor. "So currently, we're up to over $4,000 in in kind donations," Trahan said while describing how campus requests were compiled and distributed. Trustees thanked Robbie Collins and the donor for supporting arts education in the district.
