The Borger Independent School District Board of Trustees on Nov. 13 canvassed the results of the Nov. 4 voter-approval tax-rate election, which administrators reported had passed 641 to 533. Board President Payton Lumpkin opened the meeting and noted the board was in compliance with the Texas Open Meetings Act; the canvass was approved by motion (Eric Schneck), second (Cyndee Hickman) and a 7–0 roll call vote.
The board also approved its consent agenda—including minutes, payroll, disbursements, donations, and tax deeds—on a motion by Devon Thompson and seconded by Keegan Neill. Multiple subsequent administrative approvals on the Nov. 13 agenda passed unanimously as recorded in the minutes: the Crockett Elementary Targeted Improvement Plan, VATRE purchases, Policy Update 126, SHAC member/officer postings, the West Texas Food Service Co‑Op interlocal agreement, and budget amendments for 2024–25 and 2025–26. The minutes show all formal motions carried 7–0 with trustees Lumpkin, Schneck, Hickman, Small, Thompson, Bradley and Neill voting in favor.
