Northfield promotes Scott Pollak to chief of police; council approves amended memorandum of agreement

Solicitor Facenda and Labor Counsel Curio explained that the MOA would be amended to reflect 13 holidays instead of 15: Lincoln’s and Washington’s birthdays were combined into Presidents’ Day and Easter was eliminated from the holiday list.
The council entered executive session at 6:28 p.m. and returned at 6:40 p.m.; Solicitor Facenda announced that official action was being taken in the form of Resolutions 36-2026 and 37-2026. Both resolutions were adopted by unanimous roll-call vote. Captain Pollak thanked the council, saying it was "refreshing to have a Council that was so supportive of the Police Department," and expressed appreciation for the trust and confidence he said the council placed in him.
