Northfield council adopts consent agenda including sewer TWA application and backing for ACUA landfill expansion

Council President Bucci read the standard statement explaining the consent agenda and asked if any items should be removed for separate discussion. The council adopted the schedule change and then voted by roll call to approve Resolutions 1-2026 through 35-2026 as amended.
The consent list included routine administrative items (annual appointments, designating official newspapers, adopting Robert’s Rules of Order), procurement and contracting authorizations under cited statutes, and several items of substantive interest: a Treatment Works Approval (TWA) application to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection for the Dolphin Avenue sewer main extension (Res. 31-2026); a resolution supporting an amendment to the Atlantic County Solid Waste Management Plan endorsing expansion of the ACUA landfill (Res. 32-2026); rejection and re-advertisement of proposals for Recreation Improvements at Birch Grove Park under the FY 2024 Local Recreation Improvement Grant (Res. 33-2026); and authorization to proceed with public bidding for repairs and construction of sanitary sewer and stormwater facilities (Res. 34-2026).
