Channelview ISD introduces I-CARE values and updates ACT Academy plans

"The presentation included an overview of the committee’s work, district beliefs, the development of the I-CARE Values consisting of Integrity, Community, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence, and the district’s collective commitments related to learning, collaboration, continuous improvement, and stakeholder experience," the transcript states.
Dr. Houston also reviewed the ACT Academy (Academic, Counseling, and Transition), describing the program mission, student support services, staffing structure, enrollment information and future expansion plans. The ACT Academy presentation described changes to the district's in-house Disciplinary Alternative Education Program (DAEP) model and framed expected operational and programmatic impacts.
