Superintendent highlights museum ribbon-cutting, principals of the year and student recognitions

Superintendent Dr. Tory C. Hill told trustees Feb. 17 that the district remained active despite a short month, highlighted a successful State of the District event (Feb. 6) and announced an upcoming ribbon cutting for the new Channelview ISD Museum at the Campbell Learning Center.
Dr. Hill recognized Amber Logan of Hamblen Elementary and Emeterio Cruz of Channelview High School as the 2025–2026 Principals of the Year and noted Channelview High School student Erik Montes received a scholarship. He also summarized student-group volunteer activities and a planned visit to the University of Houston–Downtown by the Voice student group.
