Forest County commissioners approve routine bills, fund transfers and proclamations

The Forest County Board of Commissioners met Aug. 21 and approved a package of routine administrative actions, including payment of payroll and bills and several interfund transfers.
Commissioners Patrick F. Kline and Robert J. Snyder moved and seconded a series of motions that passed unanimously. The board approved General Fund and department purchases, and authorized payments that included General Fund bills totaling $56,842.01 and Children & Youth bills of $13,184.78.
The meeting also authorized transfers used to fund human services and transportation needs: a $13,658.00 transfer from the General Fund to the Homeless Assistance Program/Human Services Development Fund (HSDF) for the first quarter of 2024–25, and a $522.90 transfer from the Veterans’ Transportation Account to the Forest County Transportation Account to cover July veteran trips and copays.
Action items were largely routine and carried by unanimous vote of the three commissioners present. The meeting opened at 10:00 a.m. and adjourned at 10:15 a.m.
