CISD rejects transportation fuel bids after late submission; board orders rebid

Dr. Brian Morris told the board the district received timely bids from Arguindegui Oil Company, LLC and Gaubert Oil Company, LLC and that a third bid from R&D Distributing LTD was not received until 10:20 a.m. and remained sealed. Dr. Morris stated his recommendation was for Gaubert Oil Company, LLC. Trustee Casey Lout moved to reject all bids and reopen bidding; Cody Miller seconded and the vote was 5-0.
The board did not award a contract at the meeting; reopening the bid process means staff will solicit new proposals and return to trustees with updated recommendations.
