Center ISD records wave of resignations and approves list of contracted hires
Summary

During open session the board recorded a lengthy list of resignations across campuses, including teachers, coaches and administrators. The minutes list more than 20 resignations and indicate the passing of one staff member (Karl Miller). The board then reviewed a list of contracted personnel recommended for hire across Center Elementary, F.L. Moffett Primary, Center Middle and Center High schools.
Superintendent Dr. Brian Morris noted that there were no employment-of-contracted-personnel requests requiring board action because he retains contractual authority through September 12, 2025; a list of contracted personnel was nonetheless shared with trustees. The hires named in the minutes include teachers, an assistant principal and coaches. No individual employment terms or salaries were included in the public minutes.
The board did not take additional public action on individual contracts during the meeting.
