FCBHA reports growth in SCO caseload, strong turnout at IDD carnival and community art show

Deputy Administrator Sherri Mitchell reported several operational milestones for intellectual and developmental disabilities services at the April 16 meeting, including community outreach and caseload growth.
"There was a nice turnout, over 200 people," Mitchell said of the March 27 Developmental Disabilities Awareness Carnival at Lakeside, noting accessible activities, a petting zoo and provider participation. Mitchell also outlined the month-long IDD art show at Uniontown Mall and a planned walking club kickoff in May. She said the Administrative Entity has submitted a multi-year growth plan strategy to the Office of Developmental Programs and is preparing for required ISP "rolls" by June 30, 2025.
Mitchell told the board the Supports Coordination Organization currently has 635 open individuals, up from 585 a year earlier — an increase of about 50 cases — and described the ISC/ISP roll process as a significant workload for the department. Board members were asked to note parent-education outreach with local schools and an upcoming LICC picnic in June.
