"I too am against the firing of the chief appraiser," Burgess said. On action items later in the meeting the board approved a resolution allocating the district's votes for appointment to the Tarrant Appraisal District board of directors, with the board recording a split allocation of 3 votes to Eric (candidate) and 3 votes to Wendy (candidate). The vote on the resolution was recorded as carrying 4-0. The public remarks and the board's vote underscore local interest in TAD leadership and transparency; no formal removal of TAD staff or officers was taken by the board at this meeting.
