Heath Prater sworn in as trustee; Canadian ISD board adjourns special meeting

After approving the canvass of the Nov. 4 trustee election, the Canadian ISD Board completed the swearing-in of the newly elected member.
Business Director Cindy Moore administered the Oath of Office to Heath Prater, formally seating him as a trustee. Minutes record that the board then had six voting members present.
Following the oath, Heath Prater moved "I move that the Board adjourn the meeting at 5:32 P.M.;" Heath Mitchell seconded. The roll-call vote was recorded as six yeas and one absent (Jessica Cowden), and the motion passed. The special meeting adjourned at 5:32 p.m.
The meeting agenda had included a possible executive session on personnel under Texas Government Code 551.074; the record notes the board did not enter executive session and no personnel matters were acted on at this meeting.
