Burleson ISD recognizes student athletes and TSA competitors for state and national placings

Trustees honored Burleson High School Unified Track for placing sixth at the UIL state championship, Centennial High School golfers for a 12th-place team finish at UIL state, and multiple Technology Student Association competitors for state and national placements.
Dr. Mikala Hill, Chief of Staff, and campus coaches presented several special recognitions at the start of the Aug. 11 meeting.
The Burleson High School Unified Track team placed sixth at the UIL state championship; Head Unified Track Coach Ms. Lambert-Wilson was invited to the podium to recognize team members by name. Centennial High School's golf team placed 12th at the UIL state championship, and several golfers were listed with individual finishes. Dr. Adrena McDonald, Academic Assistant Principal at Game Development Design School, recognized students who placed in state and national Technology Student Association competitions across categories including photographic technology, board game design, promotional design and video game design.
Board member Ms. Pat Worrell commented that convocation was great and praised the campuses for showcasing personality during recent events.
