The University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma Board of Regents voted on Feb. 12 to extend the contract of President Kayla Hale for one year and to grant a one-time stipend equal to 7% of her current salary, payable in fiscal year 2026-27.
The board entered an executive session under 25 O.S. 307(B)(1) at 1:47 p.m. to discuss the reemployment of President Hale and left executive session at 2:37 p.m. After the closed session, Regent Cale Walker moved to extend the contract and Regent Kelly Wilkerson seconded; the motion carried by unanimous vote. The board also approved a motion, moved by Regent Walker and seconded by Regent Conley, to provide a one-time stipend equal to 7% of the president's salary; that motion likewise passed unanimously.
Chair Diane Ming announced the board's next regular meeting and the session adjourned at 2:40 p.m. The minutes do not include additional details on the contract terms beyond the one-year extension and the 7% stipend amount.
