District shifts Early College program to academy model; board reviews student services and handbook

Laura Helm, Academies of Chapel Hill Coordinator, told the board that the Early College Program concluded after the 2024–25 school year as the district transitions to an all-inclusive Academy Model. Helm said the district reviewed College, Career, and Military Readiness measures and the Texas Success Initiative as part of the change. "Early College Program concluded after the 2024-2025 school year as the district shifts to an all-inclusive Academy Model," she said.
Robin White, Director of Student Services, presented the Student Services dashboard highlighting counseling, nursing, grant management, and programs for homeless students, teen parents, and those in foster care. Kedrick Graves presented the 2025–26 Student Handbook, noting it aligns with laws and board policy but is not a comprehensive statement of all district rules; in cases of conflict, board policy and the Student Code of Conduct take precedence.
