Board approves human resources slate; administrators report driver hires and CTE transportation plans

During the discussion a trustee asked about bus‑driver staffing for the new school year. A district administrator reported that the district had hired five new bus drivers and had three additional drivers in training, and that centralized career‑and‑technical education (CTE) transportation was operating to move students to programs at Perry and Chandler high schools. "We're in good shape," the administrator said, adding that routes were covered and some drivers were being used for inter‑high‑school transport.
Trustees moved, seconded and approved the HR slate by acclamation. The board and staff said they would continue to monitor transportation staffing and route timing as the year progresses.
