The Chandler Unified School District governing board adopted a revision to policy 4‑101 clarifying the board’s authority to employ and authorizing the superintendent to schedule certain employees to begin work prior to formal board action, provided the board approves those hires at a subsequent meeting.
Presenting the change, Mr. Rossini described the amendment as consistent with legal review and the trust’s recommendation. "We recommend approval of the revised policy 4 dash 1 0 1, board authority to employ," Mr. Rossini said. Trustees moved and approved the revision by acclamation.
Board members and counsel indicated the amendment was procedural and intended to permit operational continuity while preserving the board’s final approval role. The motion passed without recorded opposition.
