Board approves GMP from Huseman Builders and authorizes AIA A133 amendment for Baker Elementary HVAC Phase 4

The Canadian ISD Board approved a guaranteed maximum price (GMP) from Huseman Builders, Inc. for HVAC work at Baker Elementary School (Phase 4) and then authorized Superintendent Dr. Julia McMains to execute AIA Document A133-2019 Exhibit A to formalize the amendment.

"I move to approve the proposed guaranteed maximum price presented by Huseman Builders, Inc. for HVAC work on the Baker Elementary School portion (Phase 4) of the Replacement of HVAC and Related Systems at Canadian ISD Facilities Project," Trustee Jessica Cowden said when making the motion; Trustee Tatum Pennington seconded. The GMP motion recorded a yes–no tally of Yea: 5, Nay: 2. The subsequent motion to authorize execution of the AIA A133 Exhibit A (the contract amendment that sets the approved scope, cost and substantial completion date for Phase 4) also passed; the transcript records that vote as Yea: 6, Nay: 1, with Trustee Bryan Bartlett recorded as voting no on the authorization.
