Presenters included Joey Cantu (Star Students; Minnie Stevens Piper scholarship announcement), Sandra Uriegas (Special Olympics participants), Lisa Campa (Outstanding PLC Team — Intermediate 5th Grade Math), Major Monica Martinez (CSHS JROTC cadets CPT Jacob Cantu and MAJ Thor Ziskowski), Coach Munoz (power lifting regional & state qualifiers), Karen Marroquin (Safe Employee Recognition campaign) and Maribel Guevara (Texas Department of Agriculture student nutrition recognition).
Board President Anita Franco opened the recognitions during the meeting’s early agenda. The minutes list each recognition item but do not include verbatim acceptance remarks or individual student quotes; recipients and presenters were recorded in the agenda and minutes.
