The Bryan ISD Board of Trustees opened its Jan. 20 meeting by honoring staff and students across the district. Truist Bank representative Alonso Robles presented gift cards to Intermediate Teachers of the Month; Sadberry Intermediate Principal Alfred Scott introduced Tia Creeks as Sadberry’s Teacher of the Month, and Rayburn Intermediate Principal Rebecca Ryberg introduced Victoria Garza as Rayburn’s Teacher of the Month. Executive Director of Operations Pat Corbett introduced Maria Ramirez as the Auxiliary Employee of the Month for Transportation’s ADA bus services.
Director of Counseling Services Donna Willett presented the Essential Eight Community Partnership Award to Blake Jenkins of OnRamp. Director of Fine Arts Jacob Justice highlighted Bryan High School and Rudder High School students for earning Superior rankings at the Texas Thespians contest. An agenda item noting Bryan Collegiate High School’s AVID Site Team national finalist recognition was listed for a future meeting.
