City manager reports road and police‑building work, says Visitors Center plans submitted

City Manager Roseann Peralta outlined project progress in her report. She told councilors the "Great Blocks project [is] for final design, working with Conservancy for culverts at Harvey Street," that Lala Street is getting quotes for a complete repave, and that she is "Hoping to get plans from Sanchez properties this week." She also said 3rd and Picard will be put out to bid at the end of the month and that paving on 1st Street is expected to start at the end of the month.
Peralta reported the police building and the building across the street are "moving along." When Councilor Ortega asked about the status of the Visitors Center, Peralta responded that the plans have been submitted. These items were presented as informational updates; the council took no formal action during the meeting on the projects described.
