Burleson ISD receives 'Superior' Schools FIRST rating with score of 94, CFO reports

At a Dec. 8 public hearing required by state law, Brenda Mize, Burleson ISD Chief Financial Officer, presented the Schools FIRST financial management report and said the district received a rating of "Superior" with a score of 94 points.
"The District received a rating of Superior with a score of 94 points," Mize said, noting the rating is based on staff and student data for 2023–24 and fiscal-year financial data ending June 30, 2024. Trustee Staci Eisner asked whether changes in property values would affect the score; Mize replied that it could in the future but that no change had occurred at this time. The public hearing opened at 6:57 p.m. and closed at 7:05 p.m.
