Students, teachers and coaches honored at Ben Bolt-Palito Blanco ISD board meeting
Summary
The board recognized Students of the Month, honored ten science fair state qualifiers and celebrated the seventh-grade basketball team’s district championship, and recognized key teachers and counselors.
Trustees used the Feb. 25 meeting to honor students and staff across district campuses. Debbie Guerra presented Student of the Month awards for high school, junior high and elementary students, recognizing academic effort and growth.
Monica Garza presented certificates to science fair state qualifiers and announced that ten students will participate at the state level. Athletic Director Mark DelPercio said coaches Mr. Landin and Mr. Salinas presented certificates and a plaque to the seventh-grade basketball team for winning the district title; the plaque will be added to the school's trophy case. Superintendent Victoria S. Joslin also recognized science teacher Monica Garza and acknowledged the elementary and high school counselors for their work supporting students.
The recognitions were presented as part of the meeting's informational reports and required no board action.
