Forest County moves forward on broadband: reimbursements, generator purchases and Yellowhammer site work approved

Forest County commissioners advanced several broadband-related items at their Oct. 2 meeting, approving reimbursements, generator purchases and site-preparation contracts. The board approved a $1,565.16 transfer from the Tribal Funds PLGIT Account to the General Fund to reimburse payment on August invoices related to the Broadband Study work by Design Nine, Inc., processed through the Northwest Commission.
The board also authorized purchases and contracts with Mobilcom. Under Title III account disbursements the minutes list a Mobilcom purchase of generators totaling $11,786.00 for the Starr and Flying W broadband poles. Separately, the board approved Mobilcom proposals for Yellowhammer Tower site excavation and grading at $13,610.00 and for a 40'x40' chainlink fence compound at $15,085.00; both Yellowhammer items are to be paid from an ARC Grant with a 20% county match. Each motion carried unanimously.
