Forest County commissioners approved payroll and bills and carried multiple routine motions at their Oct. 2, 2024 meeting. The board voted unanimously to approve General Fund payroll and bills totaling $75,367.71, Transportation payroll/bills of $10,608.24 and Children & Youth payroll/bills of $7,669.83, for a combined total of $93,645.78.
Beyond payroll, the board approved a variety of departmental and account disbursements. Motions included ordering office and departmental supplies (itemized in the minutes), authorizing Tax Claim Director Denise Saxton to make an August distribution from the Tax Claim Bureau Account (Forest County $26,245.94; Forest Area School District $27,986.76; various municipalities $2,192.03), and reissuing $455.32 to Harmony Township after prior checks went uncashed. The board also approved visitor center and Title III account checks for utilities, janitorial services and Fire‑Wise Education Center expenses.
