Supervisor Vanderpool credits state partners and Walmart after Earlymark well failures

Supervisor Pete Vanderpool said county and state partners scrambled to help the Earlymark community after multiple well failures, and he thanked Assemblywoman Alexander Macedo and Walmart for stepping in with emergency water supplies. "They were able to give out, water to about 500 households, in need," Vanderpool told the Tulare County Board of Supervisors on Aug. 4.
Vanderpool said the main well that had been offline should be back online and that the county and state are working to support the PUD, an independent local utility that serves Earlymark. He warned the outage affected residents and local institutions — including schools — and said continued coordination with state officials, including Sen. Hurtado, will be needed to shore up longer‑term fixes.
