Sequoia Park master plan presented; plan described as 'shovel ready' with dog park and trike track

The plan retains the walking trail and ballfields and adds new amenities including trike tracks, a second dog park, a new entrance with parking and an additional basketball court; Andrew described the plan as the long-term vision and said it is "shovel ready" for grant applications and public-private partnerships.
Council asked about drainage and fencing; Andrew said drainage will flow into the Leonhart Channel (the transcript uses both Leonhart and Leonhardt spellings) and noted the ballfields lie within a regulatory floodplain so they will be multi-use grass to avoid NFIP violations. Staff said the plan represents about 17 months of work and will be used to pursue grants and donor partnerships.
