Board President Luis "Charlie" Estrada told attendees, "If the Board is undecided about an item or issue, information provided can help board members decide."
Trustees framed attendance as a tool for transparency and better outcomes for students. Vice President Angel Ornelas said diverse viewpoints "provide information the members may not know or have," and urged community members (in Spanish) to "Pasen a las juntas para recibir información correcta no de segunda mano. Esto evita chismes." The panel format had each trustee answer two questions about why attendance matters; the session closed with trustees thanking the audience and expressing hope for greater turnout at the next town hall.
