CFBISD declares 2115 E. Frankford Road surplus, authorizes sale

Following a closed-session discussion that included review of land matters and possible surplus property, Trustee Marjorie Barnes moved in open session to declare 2115 E. Frankford Road in Carrollton surplus and authorize its sale. Trustee Randy Schackmann seconded the motion, and the board recorded a unanimous vote in favor.
The closed session earlier in the meeting had included discussion of land including 2115 E. Frankford Road and 18111 Kelly Boulevard, Dallas; however, the open-session action recorded and approved by the board specifically declared 2115 E. Frankford Road surplus and authorized its sale. The resolution and sale authorization will be reflected in the district’s official records and handled through the district’s real-property processes.
If staff pursues a sale, standard district procedures and any legal requirements for public disposition of district property will guide next steps. The board will receive any required updates as the surplus and sale process moves forward.
