The Blythe City Council unanimously approved a Conditional Use Permit (CUP 2511-001) for Luxe America, LLC to operate a light-manufacturing and inventory storage facility at 150 S. Main Street. Interim City Manager Mallory Crecelius told the council the site is zoned general commercial and that the proposed operations are ‘‘clean, quiet and have a low impact in nature’’ with no fumes, odors or hazardous waste anticipated. The council adopted Resolution No. 2026-002 (findings in support of a Notice of Exemption) and Resolution No. 2026-003 (findings and conditions approving the CUP).
Staff advised the council that, as lead agency under CEQA, the City preliminarily determined the project qualifies for a Categorical Exemption under CEQA Guidelines Section 15301 (Existing Facilities) and that the CUP would lapse if no improvements are made within one year of issuance. No public comments were received during the hearing; Vice Mayor Rodriguez moved approval and Council Member Burton seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
