Bridge City ISD trustees elect leadership, reappoint Rutledge as president

Rebecca Rutledge was re-elected president of the Bridge City Independent School District Board of Trustees at the boards regular meeting on May 20, 2026. After a brief closed-session review of nominees under Texas Government Code Section 551.074, Mark Anderson nominated Rutledge for president; the board voted unanimously to approve the nomination. "All those in favor: Rutledge, Cole, Zoch, Hill, Anderson, Johnson, Mclnnis," the minutes record.
The board also elected Judy Cole as vice president, Paul Zoch as secretary and Jerry Mclnnis as assistant secretary. Mark Anderson made each nomination, and each motion passed with a unanimous vote. The reorganization follows the swearing-in of Place 6 Trustee Michael C. Johnson and Place 7 Trustee Mark Anderson earlier in the meeting.
