The board also opened a public hearing on a proposed tax rate of $0.7592 and discussed next steps to comply with state requirements if the adopted rate exceeds the voter-approval tax rate. Trustees additionally moved to order a Voter-Approval Tax Rate Election to ratify any adopted rate that exceeds the voter-approval threshold; the election is planned for Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2024.
