The Channelview ISD Board of Trustees authorized the superintendent Feb. 10, 2026, to develop a long-range planning committee to guide district planning. Mrs. Lynette Breedlove moved the authorization and Ms. Shumona Collins seconded; the motion passed 4-0.
In the same meeting the board also authorized the superintendent to develop a process to engage a consultant to support that committee; that motion likewise passed unanimously. The public minutes do not identify committee membership, selection criteria, consultant scope, or consultant budget; those details are left to the superintendent's forthcoming process.
