Preliminary STAR results show gains in some grades, declines in others; district calls for deeper question review

“District wide, our STAR results are closely aligned with our benchmark 3,” Hutchings said, adding that the district will conduct a deeper review once released questions are available. Trustees asked about retesters and summer intervention plans; staff described pull‑outs, boot camps and targeted lessons to address students who have not yet passed. The board asked for follow‑up reporting on the retester population and summer program placements.
