The Pasadena Independent School District Board of Trustees unanimously approved the consent agenda and several financial and travel items during its Oct. 21, 2025 regular meeting.
The consent motion — "Motion by Nelda Sullivan, seconded by Crystal Davila to approve the consent agenda" — passed on a 6–0 vote with AYES recorded as Phelan, Marshall, Sullivan, Campos, Davila and Gonzalez. Trustees then approved budget amendments for September 2025 on a separate motion that also passed 6–0.
Trustees authorized student travel for Sam Rayburn High School groups. The Texan Culinary Team was approved to travel to Orlando, Florida, April 29–May 3, 2026 for The Cook Around the World Culinary Competition at an estimated cost of $3,000 per student. The Texan Band was approved to travel in spring 2026 to perform in a Disney student workshop at an estimated cost of $2,292 per student.
The board completed these actions after reconvening in open session at 7:00 p.m. and recognizing local volunteers and student achievements earlier in the meeting. No trustee votes against any of the listed consent, budget or travel items.
