At the Sept. 15 meeting the Paradise ISD Board of Trustees approved Budget Amendment #1 to move $50,675 from the district’s local fund balance to pay for stadium lighting and temporary bleacher rental for the high‑school football stadium. The amendment designates $41,800 for lights and $8,875 to rent bleachers; administrators said the district may purchase bleachers at the end of the rental period or continue seeking a safer, higher model.
The consent agenda—including corrections to the Aug. 18 minutes—was approved on a motion by Russell Read, seconded by Landon Smith. The recorded vote was Caddell—Yes; Cox—Absent; Read—Yes; Erickson—Yes; Murphy—Yes; Remmele—Yes; Smith—Yes, with the motion carried 6–0–1. Superintendent Robyn Gibson told the board the rented bleachers can be purchased later, but staff would continue looking for higher and more safely constructed options.
