Superintendent McBrain presented a summary of change orders related to the Hillsboro High School construction project. She said owner-requested change orders total $706,382.20, representing roughly 2.5% of the total project cost; all other change orders related to discovered conditions and architectural/engineering errors and omissions total $530,412.66, or about 1.9% of the project.
Board member Brian Patton asked about the tennis court project. McBrain reported that Shore Builders said the concrete seam beneath the topper is the visible imperfection, not cracking of the concrete or topper, and that Shore Builders does not expect it to affect the playing surface.
