North Zulch ISD board approves TASB policy updates; raises superintendent construction authority

The North Zulch ISD Board of Trustees approved multiple policy updates on Nov. 17, following recommendations from TASB Policy Service. The board passed the TASB Localized Policy Manual Update 126 with a specific LOCAL change at CV(LOCAL) raising the superintendent’s authority for construction contracts from $10,000 to $25,000.
The board also approved recommended revisions to CH(LOCAL) (Purchasing and Acquisitions) and amended CFB(LOCAL) (Accounting/Inventories) to align the district’s capitalization threshold for classifying capital assets with the federal standards under the Education Department General Administrative Regulations (EDGAR). All policy votes passed unanimously.
