The Nixon‑Smiley CISD Board approved the consent agenda during its Sept. 15 meeting. Trustee C. Villasana moved and L. Warzecha seconded the motion; Trustees Richard Lott, Bud Box, Aly Tschoepe, Chris Villasana, Lester Warzecha and Mark Mendez voted aye.
Items included in the consent agenda: review of accounts payable; the tax collector's report noting 98.81% of the 2024 adjusted levy had been collected through August 2025; approval of the Aug. 11, 2025 regular meeting minutes and the Aug. 18, 2025 public hearing minutes; cafeteria operations reported as open 17 days with 13,669 lunches and 15,049 breakfasts served supporting a combined Texas Education Agency reimbursement claim of $106,905.89; and the ADA/enrollment report showing 1,001 students as of the last day of August (1,017 in August 2024).
