Pasadena Independent School District trustees voted unanimously Jan. 20 to rename the Pasadena ISD Administration Building the Dr. DeeAnn Powell Administration Building. The motion, made by Trustee Marshall Kendrick and seconded by Trustee Casey Phelan, carried on a 7–0 vote.
The renaming was taken as part of the Miscellaneous section of the agenda after construction and budget items were considered. Board President Kenny Fernandez adjourned the meeting at 8:00 p.m.; the board also approved Feb. 24, 2026, as the date of the next regular meeting.
