The board reviewed the district's annual investment reporting and completed the required yearly review of its Investment Policy.
Administration noted that 96% of district funds were kept in investment pools (TexPool and TexStar) to maximize interest earnings and that interest rates averaged more than 4% during the year. Trustees raised no questions about the report.
The board then considered the annual review of the district's investment policy (CDA). The superintendent and finance director confirmed they had completed required training to sign off on district investments, and Trent Murphy moved — with Scott Cox seconding — to approve the annual investment policy review. The motion carried 6–0–1.
