Principals report enrollment and strong attendance as Paradise ISD opens the school year

Principals from Paradise ISD's campuses reported current enrollment totals and attendance rates to the board during the Aug. 18 meeting. Kristin Gage reported intermediate enrollment of 252 students (129 fourth-graders and 123 fifth-graders) with ADA at 99.96%; Nicki Carter reported junior high enrollment of 318 with ADA at 98.47%; Brent Haugen reported high school enrollment of 383 with ADA at 99.14%; and Josh Rutledge reported elementary enrollment of 416 with ADA at 98.42%.
Board members thanked campus leaders and community supporters. The superintendent also briefed trustees on finance planning for payroll and a facilities update showing construction foundations being poured at the high school; one day of construction progress was lost due to rain.
