Pampa ISD to buy three new school buses as aging fleet nears replacement thresholds

Stuart Smith, Director of Student Services, told trustees that several buses in the district fleet have exceeded 15 years of service and that the overall fleet average is 14 years. He said the Facilities/Long Range Planning Committee recommended moving forward with the purchase of three new buses and requested board approval to proceed.
Cade Taylor made a motion to approve the purchase of three new buses in accordance with funding and specifications presented; Dr. Emily Arrington seconded and the motion carried unanimously. Transportation staff will proceed with procurement according to the approved specifications.
