Pampa ISD trustees approve course catalog, audits, staffing plan and bus purchases; decline SB 11 resolution

The Pampa ISD Board of Trustees met Jan. 21 and voted unanimously on a series of routine and programmatic items. Cade Taylor moved to approve the consent agenda (December minutes and financial reports) and Dr. David Godino seconded; the motion carried with all seven trustees voting in favor. The board also approved the 2026-27 Pampa High School course catalog, campus Targeted Improvement Plans, the independent single audit for federal programs, a delay-of-certification plan to reduce the number of uncertified teachers over several years, and a purchase of three new school buses.
Trustees declined to adopt a resolution related to Senate Bill 11 that would establish a daily period for prayer or reading religious texts on campus. Kaleb Snelgrooes made the motion to decline the resolution and Dr. Godino seconded; the motion carried unanimously. Votes on each action were recorded as unanimous (Misty LeBlanc, Denise Intemann, Richard Qualls, Cade Taylor, Emily Arrington, David Godino, Kaleb Snelgrooes voted "yes" on listed motions).
