Paducah ISD reports enrollment dip, benchmark gains; teacher earns doctorate

The district's principal reported PK-12 enrollment at 137 as of Dec. 18, 2025, down from 156 at the same point last year, and noted an attendance percentage of 95.96%. The principal also said middle-of-year benchmark testing showed "lots of growth across ALL subjects," and that data sheets had been distributed to teachers. Students return from Christmas break on Jan. 5, 2026.
The board also recognized Dr. Christine Watson for completing her doctoral program in Educational Leadership at West Texas A&M University (WTAMU) and for eight years of service as a teacher at Paducah ISD. The recognition was recorded in the minutes as an expression of board pride and appreciation.
